Easy to use the nail polish not so great quality but the lamp works great !I’ve used the lamp twice and on the first use it worked perfect. Right now I’m using it again and notice that the light will flicker to a brighter light or dim down and there’s no way to control when it does this. I don’t know why it’s doing that but yeah other than that it’s good. I like the colors and those look pretty good so farWe live in the Chicago area and manicures are outrageously expensive. My wife stopped going to save money during the pandemic and never started going back (thanks inflation!). I offered to start doing her nails if all I must do is paint. She was excited about this prospect and said it was bonding time for the two of us. Now my daughter wants to get in on it and have weekly nail parties.There are 6 colors in this set which all can be described as neutral, nude, or natural. The color in the bottle is not apparent as there are no color stickers on top. I painted a little dot on top of each bottle using my fingertip. Each bottle is 7ml which is about half of the size of the .5 oz (15ml) bottles you get at the stores. The light included is a basic beginner light. If you plan to do nails regularly, I would invest in a better quality light. There is a base coat and a GLOSSY topcoat. There is no matte topcoat included with this set. You do get some "bonus" items like files, cuticle pushers, nail clippers, cuticle oil, etc. I prefer my own and often will put these in my guest bathroom for overnight guests to use.Application went smoothly. My wife’s nails are kept short for work so we only used 2 coats of polish. However, if you have long nails, I could see where three coats would be necessary so the nail that goes past the fingertip is solid and not opaque when light shines through it. Some of the colors were thick, gel-y, clumpy – whatever word you want to use. I let the bottle sit in a cup of hot water and it thinned out nicely. As mentioned, we live in Chicago and I think the cold is not always conducive to nail polish remaining in its perfect form.Removing the polish was pretty easy. I used my dermal tool to remove the top coat and I soaked them. I have also used the gel remover polish product and that worked great as well. After letting it set for a few minutes the polish gummed up and I was able to wipe away.Getting your nails done now a days is extremely expensive and this was perfect for my teenager to practice doing her own. Its super light weight and comes with enough product to do a few trial runs.You need smooth steady strokes otherwise it comes out with lumpy finish. The colors provided are very pretty. Its a good buy.Great starter kit. Comes with everything you need to do a gel nail. Great for beginners.I've seen smaller LED nail lamps and I was expecting as much, but this one arrived much larger than expected. My entire hand fits inside of it, so that all of my nails can be dried at once rather than one at a time, which is pretty nice. My hands are very small, however.The device feels mostly made of plastic and is very lightweight as a result, especially for how large it is. I'll be honest, I've never used one of these before and was a bit surprised at how warm the inside of the machine gets, but i quickly got used to it and it's not painful or anything. Once you press the button for how many seconds you would like the lamp to stay on, there is a sensor that detects when you put your hand in that will activate the light. If you look at the photos, the labels for the buttons face away from you, which is a tad annoying, but I assume this is meant for nail technicians, which then makes the text positioning make sense. The lamp seems to work fine as I was able to test out a couple of nails with no issues; they dried quite well and feels very smooth.It's a good set that thankfully includes base and top coats as well as some nice basic tools and full sized nail files, rather than difficult to use tiny ones that I've seen in other sets.The included nail polish bottles are a bit small, but they work. I have never used gel polish before, but they're easy to apply, not super clumpy, and they don't have the super strong smell that regular nail polish has, though the base and top coats do have some slight odd odors. Unfortunately, only the top ans base coats are clearly labeled. All other colors do not indicate what color it is, besides having a white circular sticker on top with a letter and number. I will continue to use the lamp and top and base coats, but I will likely use other gel polishes instead.This gel polish kit is pretty great. It includes everything needed to do your nails. The neutral polish is cute and lasts way longer than traditional polish. I really like the nail lamp as well. The on/off feature that’s controlled by placing your hand in and out of the device is genius and so convenient. Overall a great experience at a fraction of the price of a trip to the salon.My daughter is leaving for college and I don't want her taking my light and nail kit with her. I thought that this set looked like the perfect starter set to get her going on her own. Right now she is really used to me doing her nails so this will help her do her own. First I was seriously impressed with the strength of the light. A lot of these at home lights are weaker than 60W and this one is way up at 150. Right around the same strength as the one my nail lady uses. The polishes are okay but nothing special. I do like that it came with cuticle oil because treating your cuticles right is half of keeping your nails in good condition. The other items are all pretty standard but nice for her as she doesn't have anything and is just getting started. Overall I think this a great beginner kit.
